Story Time Chess is an award-winning kids chess board game that teaches younger children how to play chess through engaging stories, silly characters, and beautifully crafted storybook illustrations.
Each custom chess piece has its own character story, so children learn the chess moves and rules of the game naturally as the story progresses. No prior chess experience is required, and kids as young as four can follow along thanks to the imagery and storytelling approach.
Story Time Chess includes over 30 mini games that enhance the journey as your child learns the various moves and strategies of chess, all designed in a fun and engaging way. Once the rules click, flip the dual sided chess board over and use it for regular chess. The skills developed through gameplay, including cognitive and emotional skills like concentration, logical thinking, and strategic planning, are ones that will benefit your child throughout their entire life. It’s simply brilliant, and one of the best board games for kids we stock.
