What Is King of Tokyo?

King of Tokyo is a push-your-luck dice game combining monster battles, tactical decisions, special power cards and plenty of player interaction.

Each player controls a giant monster rampaging through Tokyo. Your dice can help you score Victory Points, attack other monsters, heal damage or collect Energy to buy powerful cards.

The central decision is knowing when to take risks. Being inside Tokyo earns extra points, but you're also exposed to attacks from everyone else and cannot heal while you're there.

How to Play

On your turn, roll the six black dice. You can choose which dice to keep and reroll the others, giving you up to three rolls to create the combination you want.

Different symbols provide different benefits:

• Numbers score Victory Points when matched.

• Claws attack other monsters.

• Hearts restore health when you're outside Tokyo.

• Energy gives you Energy Cubes to spend.

• Tokyo provides a powerful position – but also makes you everyone's target.

You can also spend Energy to buy Power Cards, giving your monster special abilities and creating new strategies throughout the game.
