Cascadia by Flatout Games is a beautifully puzzly tile-laying board game inspired by the habitats and wildlife of the Pacific Northwest. Build your own landscape, create connected habitat corridors and carefully position bears, elk, salmon, hawks and foxes to create the most harmonious ecosystem.

What Is Cascadia?

In Cascadia, players create their own Pacific Northwest ecosystem using hexagonal Habitat Tiles and wildlife tokens.

Each turn, choose a habitat tile paired with a wildlife token, then add both to your growing landscape. The challenge is that every animal has its own spatial preferences, while your habitats score according to the size and connectivity of their corridors.

You need to balance two puzzles at once: where to build your habitats and where to place your wildlife.

Different Wildlife Scoring Cards change the way each species scores, giving every game a fresh puzzle to solve.

How to Play

On your turn, select one of the available Habitat Tile and Wildlife Token combinations.

Place the Habitat Tile into your ecosystem, then position the matching animal token on a suitable habitat.

As your landscape grows, look for opportunities to create large, connected habitat corridors while arranging wildlife according to the current scoring objectives.

You can also spend Nature Tokens to give yourself more flexibility when the available combinations don't quite fit your plans.

At the end of the game, score your wildlife patterns, habitat corridors and any applicable bonuses. The player who creates the most successful ecosystem wins.
