What Is Calico?

In Calico, each player creates their own patchwork quilt by placing hexagonal fabric tiles onto a personal quilt board.

The challenge is that one placement can help with one objective while making another more difficult. You'll constantly weigh up immediate points against your longer-term plans.

How to Play

Each turn, choose one patch tile from your hand and place it onto your quilt. Then draw a replacement tile from the available supply.

As your quilt develops, you can create colour groups that allow you to add buttons for extra points. Certain combinations of patterns will also attract particular cats, with each cat looking for its own preferred arrangement.

At the end of the game, players score their Design Goals, cats and buttons. The player who creates the most successful quilt wins.

Calico also includes solo scenarios and a Family Mode, giving the game additional ways to play.
