At Roll The Dice Cornwall C.I.C., we are dedicated to enhancing social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) through the engaging world of tabletop gaming. Our mission is to create inclusive, supportive environments where individuals of all ages can connect, learn, and thrive
Our Aims
Promote Social Interaction:We believe that tabletop gaming serves as a powerful medium to bring people together, fostering communication and collaboration across diverse groups. By participating in our gaming sessions, individuals develop essential social skills, build friendships, and strengthen community bonds.
Enhance Emotional Resilience:Engaging in games presents opportunities to face challenges, make decisions, and experience both success and setbacks in a safe setting. This process aids in developing coping strategies, emotional regulation, and a growth mindset, contributing to overall emotional well-being.3
Support Mental Health:Our gaming sessions provide a structured yet relaxed environment that encourages mindfulness and stress relief. By immersing in gameplay, individuals can momentarily set aside daily pressures, promoting mental clarity and relaxation.
Our Initiatives
- Children's Community Gaming Group (Breaney Sessions):We host free weekly sessions for children aged 6 to 14 during term time. Participants receive free models to build and paint, with all necessary materials provided. These sessions not only introduce children to the joys of tabletop gaming but also cultivate creativity, patience, and teamwork.
- Alternative Interventions and Therapeutics: Using research backed approaches, we offer schools and organisations an alternative to existing game and play based therapies. Created by the Game to Grow charity, Critical Core utilises roleplaying games to enhance SEMH, whilst also allowing participants to process other ongoing issues.
- Educational Support:We collaborate with home educators, schools, and individuals to integrate tabletop gaming into educational curricula, aligning with National Curriculum standards. Our tailored programs demonstrate how gaming can be an effective tool for learning and personal development.
- Adult Gaming Sessions:Recognizing the benefits of gaming across all age groups, we organize fortnightly adult sessions and weekly home education and after-school sessions. These gatherings offer adults a chance to unwind, socialize, and engage in strategic thinking, all of which contribute to mental well-being.
- Community gaming sessions: The benefits of gaming are for everyone, and we are delighted to run a full programme of different gaming sessions on regular, weekly timetables, as well as running larger events.
Our Story
Founded by friends Matt and Dave, Roll The Dice began with a shared passion for tabletop gaming. What started as casual games of Warhammer 40,000 evolved into a community-focused initiative aimed at making gaming accessible to all. Their vision was to create a free, inclusive club that teaches various games, painting techniques, and social skills, laying the foundation for the vibrant community we have today.

I can’t really review an advent calendar in November, can I?
I shall be back on Boxing Day to potentially amend the 5 stars, if the dice are not to my liking.
awesome paint selection. Enables my grandson to get right in there!
Good artwork and clear instructions. A lovely game for all the family.
We have played it numerous times since purchase and I am sure it will be a great hit over Christmas.
Having asked the lovelly man behind the counter to order this game in especially for me, i was still surprised at how quickly it came in.
More even coverage on the Kings Of War movement bases than the circular versions I’ve previously used, though still went for 2 different sizes of the square ones to fill more of the area.
An unexpected treasure, a virtually unknown taste, it surprised me with its vim and vigour.
Enabled me to attach my currently undefeated Champions Company securely to my box so that carrying became easier.
Its a drink “shop app” it quenched my thirst, as did the other hundred or so identical items i purchased over the months.
